How we handle your data.

This is a tool for parents, not children.

Lantern & Fox is designed for adults. A parent, grandparent, or caregiver uses the app to generate an adventure, then leads the experience with their child in person. The child never needs to touch a screen, create an account, or enter any information.

What we collect

When you generate a demo adventure, you provide a few details so the story feels personal: your child’s first name, age, interests, and rooms in your home. This information is used once to create tonight’s adventure and is not stored on our servers.

If you join our reservation list, we store your email address so we can notify you when kits are available. That’s it. We will never sell, share, or use your email for anything other than Lantern & Fox updates.

How adventures are generated

Each adventure is created using Anthropic’s language model (Claude). When you request a story, the details you entered are sent to Anthropic’s API for processing. Per Anthropic’s API data policy, inputs sent through their API are not used to train their models and are not retained after processing.

Children’s privacy (COPPA)

We take children’s privacy seriously. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. The limited information provided during adventure generation (first name, age, interests) is entered by a parent or guardian, used solely to personalize the story, and is not stored or shared.

As Lantern & Fox grows beyond this demo into a full product with accounts and subscriptions, we will implement verifiable parental consent and full COPPA compliance before any child data is stored.

No tracking, no ads

This site does not use advertising trackers, retargeting pixels, or third-party analytics that profile your behavior. We may add simple, privacy-respecting analytics in the future to understand how many people visit the site, but we will never sell data or show ads.
